“I was 21 years old working at an audit firm. I knew I loved numbers, maybe not so much audit. But I had a dream. A dream of growing in the finance space with impact. For the first four years of my career, I struggled with my money, right. So I was living from hand to mouth, working in South Africa.
By the time I relocated to Nigeria, I had nothing so when I got a new job, I started teaching myself financial literacy because I didn’t want a repeat of what happened to me earlier. So when I was able to figure it out, I wanted the whole world to hear. During my sabbatical, I had the opportunity to really talk about it and post it everywhere.
“Take that step today, you never can tell where it leads you”
About 3 years later, we have over 4000 people signed up for our paid platform, however, we’ve been able to influence and help over 100,000 people. That platform is Money Africa.
Twelve years after, the dream is here and full of impact. My biggest win is not that I’m financially independent but that other people can also tell the same story.”
