Efficacy of GitHub to Your Programming Career

The Ingressive event was held on Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko campus last week.  It was a huge turn up as we have so many participants ready to learn and create a lasting solutions for the school problems and communities around us using technology tools.

It was followed with so many activities  and practical sessions, which gears up the participants to learn more.

We had an introduction  session where we got to interact with each other and tell them why Ingressive is all about. Perfect session if you ask me,  because the wealth of a person is with someone else. More opportune to meet with kings and queen.

We had an awesome  session with an Android Developer  who taught us the basics and future of mobile development. It was a lasting experience  as many member of the community migrated to android development and thirsty to learn more.  We did well by providing resources material to ease their learning. More of them still come for enlightening.

Building web applications was introduced  to the members of the community using HTML,  CSS and Javascript. It was fully a practical sessions as we launched our website  and put them through.

Haven’t learnt all these,  we introduced them to Github where they get to know different opportune provided with Github.  It was the most perfect session and everyone has the hope of continuing with it. More than half of the community  registered on Github and ready to implement what they learnt.

Did  I tell you we had  a short expiation game where the community  gave out Wireless mouse to the highest participant of the tweet challenge.  It was fun though because it came as a surprise to the winner.

Thanks to Ingressive, Github  and other sponsor of the program,  haven’t kept them for so long, we provided them snacks : Chapman  and eggburns to calm them down and shared the Github stickers. Other swags was shared during the event to ease their learning.

To all my executive who had sleepless night planning for the event, a big thanks to you all. Kareem, Daniel, Esther, Akay and Norheem.

We took a  wonderful pictures.
