I4G Community Challenge
The I4G Community Challenge is a quarterly coding/design challenge that aims to assist novice programmers/designers in tackling local difficulties in their communities. As you strive to solve a problem, it allows you to share your knowledge and interact with other coders and designers.
Hack for Growth Series 1
At I4G we noticed a common problem among several of our community members. Almost every organiser are so keen on the tools to promote their events. Having a local platform where users can create and share personalised DP would increase their campaign reach and also give their events more visibility. The site can also include a comments system and likes features for ranking. Sensing an opportunity to help others with their event campaign, we created a community challenge that will help in exploring possible solutions as part of our program at I4G.

Past Problem Statements
Hacktoberfest is the month-long event held in October, to celebrate open-source software. For the past seven years, DigitalOcean along with other partners has run the campaign to promote open source. The first 70,000 participants to complete the challenge will receive a bunch of free SWAG, including a limited edition Hacktoberfest t-shirt as a reward. you also have the option to choose either a Hacktoberfest shirt OR the option to donate a tree. We hosted some projects from the just concluded design challenge.

Ingressive for Good presented a 30 days design challenge, supported by Figma, to help circle members improve their design skills, explore new styles, learn animation and showcase their design every day for a month. This challenge offered an opportunity for members to build their portfolios and connect with other designers as they explore design hacks together.
Over 900 designers benefited from our series 3 community challenge, 30 individual submissions were made. Figma gave out 6 months free access to Professional Figma to all challenge participants. Top 3 winners were awarded cash prizes as well as swags.
One of the challenge was to create 5 T.shirt designs for Ingressive Capital, a $10 million VC fund I and a $50 Million Fund II.

So many of our participants have gotten jobs through this challenge and we can’t wait to do this again.
